Playing The Bridge is a video projection installation made for Hull City of Culture, 2017.

The installation was sited inside Scale Lane Swing bridge during April 2017.

The projected films were created by weaving together and abstracting hundreds of images of the bridge itself being made, and the audio is a collage of the voices of the people who made it. A record of the fabrication of the bridge from inside itself. Additionally, a huge floor projection made from real schematics of the rotation mechanism under the bridge, revealed to visitors what was directly beneath their feetand was making the bridge move. The lower portions of the bridge architecture were filled with projections of the water outside.
